Since the library opened its doors on September 19th, numbers of visitors have increased greatly from those using the previous building. Customers have been delighted with the light, attractive and airy construction, with its new stock, 6 public PCs, large children’s area, extended range of magazines, DVDs for children and its comfortable seating area. Ratby library played host to the "Monday Madness" event during half term on Monday 17th October 2005. There were stories and the chance to make firework pictures, pencil snakes and bookmarks.
