![]() Community and voluntary transport schemes supplement the public transport network by offering services tailored to the needs of people who may have difficulty in using - or are unable to use - ordinary buses and trains to undertake journeys others normally take for granted. Most services operate on an as and when required basis and have to be booked in advance. They are there to help the community and are not operated for profit, though there will be a charge for using the service.

![]() Anstey Computers is a new business venture run by local resident Joel Spencer. Having gained years of experience in the computing industry Joel is now providing a service to help home users and small businesses get the best from their PC’s. Joel says, “I’ve always been asked to fix problems for neighbours and friends and came to realise that many people with computers don’t always have the expertise to solve things themselves. A PC or laptop is still a fairly expensive household item and so it’s important to make full use of it.” With superfast (8Mb) broadband available to most of the area Joel would like to see as many people as possible get maximum benefit from all that the Internet has to offer. “My customers range from young students to 90 year olds and the worldwide web gives them all so much to enrich their lives. It’s hard to think of a hobby, interest or activity that doesn’t become a much better experience with a PC connected to the Internet.” For more information on the services that Joel provides you can visit the Anstey Computers website at www.ansteycomputers.co.uk. Getting in touch with Joel couldn’t be easier, simply call on 0116 235 6414 or alternatively 07873 302 442. For those of you who are already on the Internet and would prefer to email you can do so by sending an email to help@ansteycomputers.co.uk.

![]() Riverford provide a range of veg boxes from £8.35 - £16.45, or order what you like from our vast list of organic produce. The contents change weekly and are seasonal. We look after you from beginning to end and are your direct link to the farms, with a personal touch. We work as part of a co operative group to look after customers for the farms in the area we live. The Castor farm is approx. 30 miles from Leicester so the produce is local. Orders can be taken on-line, by email or phone which ever you are more comfortable with. We aim to provide quality produce from the Riverford - Sacrewell farms where 75 percent of the produce in the boxes is grown. This allows us to know about the produce, as we order the seed, grow it to maturity, and aim to bring it to your door the day after picking. We do not have a market stall for this reason. We prefer the produce to continue in the ground or on the plant growing till harvest and then as quickly as possible out to the customer. As much as possible when sourcing produce from outside the farm - to enable variety - we look first to other organic producers in the East Midlands, and then further afield. Produce when brought in from Europe or further is never air freighted.

![]() We are Christians of all ages, young and not so young! We are a church consisting of people from various backgrounds and an increasing number of different nations. We are made up of single and married; some divorced and some one-parent families. Our meetings are both exciting and practical with ‘heavenly’ music, and ‘down-to-earth’ teaching combined with the Holy Spirit’s power in action. We believe that God is restoring his Church to be like the Trinity itself – Father, Son and Holy Spirit; what John Wesley called a “sweet society”. Therefore, we view ourselves as a “community of peoples” (Genesis 28:3) who are part of the world-wide Body of Jesus Christ; Christians who are ‘super-glued’ together by the New Covenant that Jesus established with all believers, and demonstrating the “covenant love” of God to one another. We accept as true that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant and infallible Word of God to all people of all times; that it is a completely reliable revelation of God, and the supreme source of truth. The Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and doctrine, and therefore, it is our ‘handbook’ for all aspects of life. We work closely with a team of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers; ministry gifts that Christ has given to his Church. This ministry team operates under the umbrella name of Ministries Without Borders, because with God there are no physical and spiritual borders we cannot cross to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to our world. Together we are committed to seeing the gospel of the kingdom preached to all people groups and to see the Church, throughout the world, come to full maturity. (see Ephesians 4:7-16) At Covenant Life Church, we believe that we have a great and powerful message. That message is the Good News about Jesus Christ God’s Son, who has the authority and power to transform lives and heal the sick! We believe that God has a plan for your life! The Bible says: "For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11) We believe there is no better future than a future with Jesus! Covenant Life Church is one church in two communities (1C2C) meeting at two venues each Sunday morning. New College, Glenfield Road, Leicester at 10.30am. Christian Life Centre, Nottingham Street, Melton Mowbray at 10.15am Covenant Life Church is led by Bryan & Hazel Shutt, Nigel & Helen Layton, Kevin & Margaret Owen, and Ian & Hayley Thompson, who all have a great desire to see Jesus glorified in Leicestershire and beyond. Check out our websites at: www.covenantlifechurch.co.uk and www.christian-centre.net email bryan@hesedhouse.co.uk or call us on 0116 2631001
