WOODCOCK FARM BARN
The barn was constructed in 1781 and is a Grade ll Listed Building.
It is red brick with plinth, dentilled eaves cornice and a Swithland slate roof. Gable facing front to to left. A long former threshing barn two storeys in height with five double-purlin tie-beam truss roof with collars. There are double doorways either side in the centre. It has loft doors and 19th century brick steps up to one of these at the rear. Also a stable door with a gauged brick rounded arch. There is a 20th century lean-to on the front to the right and over this in large letters made of black brick is 'T.B.1781'. (Thomas Babington 1781)
The barn can easily be seen next to the Woodcock Farm Shop by the car parking area.
