WOODGATE

Stockinger's Workshop, Woodgate
Woodgate 2

The above property is a Grade ll Listed Building comprising a shop and cottage. The shop is Zebra and it is worth visiting to see the interior of this building, you will be given a warm welcome by Debra.
It was formerly a range of a stockinger's workshop and cottages built in the late 18th century. It is render with brick dentilled eaves in part and pantile and Swithland slate roofs with a brick ridge stack. Gable facing.

Two storeys of one 2-light casement with top lights over a 20th century glazed door. The site to the right faces an alleyway. Here are three ranges; two storey; 1 storey; two storeys, the range whose gable faces Woodgate, to left. A range of three 2-light horizontal sliding sash sashes on both floors. One storey range with Swithland slate roof has two 5-light windows, the central light being a horizontal sliding sash. These are wide but low, were for a stockinger's workshop, and are a rare survival. There are similar windows to the rear of this range. The range to the right has a similar roof, of two 2 1/2 sashes over one similar.
