The newspaper cuttings files are located on the shelves with the village boxes. They are held in red ring binders and contain articles from the local press concerning each village. These are updated regularly and all cover a diversity of subjects. There is a number of themed news cuttings files on subjects of special local interest such the English Civil War which are filed on the shelves in subject order. There is a small number of files for Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire villages as well.
