Avoid having your name on the public version of the Electoral Roll as these can be bought by businesses and used to contact people for sales.
Contact the Electoral Roll Department at Charnwood Borough Council to have your name removed or remember when you next receive your Notice of Electoral Roll to tick the box asking not to appear on the public version. Once you have 'ticked the box' it will automatically remain on all future versions.

Ensure that any elderly friends and relatives are aware of this simple procedure that could protect them from unwanted callers or mail.
