LODGE AND TURRETS ROTHLEY COURT HOTEL

The lodge, turret, gate piers and gates were built in 1895 and possibly designed by John Ely of Manchester. Built of granite rubble stone with band, stone dressings and Swithland slate roof with brick side and rear stacks. The lodge has crow-stepped gables. 1 1/2 storeys of a 3-light stone mullion window with leaded lights. Pair of similar lancets over. Side to left, facing the drive, has a door within a porch and similar 2-light window with similar lancets over, in projecting gables to the left.

Between the right gate pier and the left side of the lodge there is a linking wall with a Gothic arched doorway and door.

There is a fine pair of wrought iron gates to the drive.

The left gate pier is linked to a small round folly turret pier with a conical roof about 2 metres in diameter which is included for group value.
