The Police Neighbourhood Beat covers the villages of Rothley, Swithland, Cropston, Thurcaston and Newtown Linford.

The villages are mainly residential but the area is also home to the popular Bradgate Park and Swithland Wood so car parks at these countryside venues have to be regularly policed.

The beat also includes ten popular public houses, four schools and many shops and businesses.
