Rothley

THE ROTHLEY HERITAGE TRUST

A Deed was signed on Wednesday 5th August 2009 and the Rothley Heritage Trust was formed.
There are four Trustees,(from left to right) Terry Sheppard, Marion Vincent MBE, Brenda Sutherland and Brian Verity and they are shown above ready to start their first meeting.

Terry, Marion, Brenda and Brian have been working on projects on behalf of Rothley for some years but now need to become a formal group so that they can secure funding for their proposed activities.

In January 2012 the Rothley Heritage Trust was granted charity status and the Certificate is shown below.

THE AIMS OF THE ROTHLEY HERITAGE TRUST

"To educate the general public of all ages in the history and heritage of Rothley and its linked areas, particularly by undertaking related research and investigation into its natural and settled history, publishing material in printed and other media, staging both temporary and enduring public exhibitions and participatory events, participating in funding selected projects aimed at conserving the natural and historic heritage of Rothley and linked areas, and engaging in other relevant educational and heritage forums."
