» Saltby![]() Photograph by A. Sadler, 2006. The church at Saltby is dedicated to St. Peter. Built of ironstone, in about the thirteenth century, the church has a square western tower with a Perpendicular top built of limestone ashlar and with pinnacles. The tower holds three bells, one of them dated 1636. The church was restored in 1885 at a cost of £1700, with seats for 170 people. The living at Saltby was a discharged vicarage consolidated with Sproxton.
