This money has to be spent 'for the benefit of Scraptoft Parish'. At a public meeting on June 28th the following suggestions were received. There is still time to make further suggestions to the Parish Council. Posted: Tue, 29 Jan 2008 11:45 In the recent months local residents have met regularly to discuss and address a range of traffic, crime and planning issues affecting Scraptoft. These meetings were open to all residents to attend. Recently, the Group have developed a questionnaire to address these issues. The Parish Plan is a unique community consultation process designed and managed by the residents of Scraptoft. Lizzie Clarke from the Rural Community Council (Leicestershire and Rutland) says Parish Plans ‘belong to the community to be delivered by that community. That is why they are so unique and valuable because nobody knows and understands the Parish better’. Why complete a questionnaire? The group are also forming ideas about consulting the youth.
