In the recent months local residents have met regularly to discuss and address a range of traffic, crime and planning issues affecting Scraptoft. These meetings were open to all residents to attend. Recently, the Group have developed a questionnaire to address these issues. The Parish Plan is a unique community consultation process designed and managed by the residents of Scraptoft. Lizzie Clarke from the Rural Community Council (Leicestershire and Rutland) says Parish Plans ‘belong to the community to be delivered by that community. That is why they are so unique and valuable because nobody knows and understands the Parish better’.

Why complete a questionnaire?
If you want to be heard you need to complete this questionnaire! As a resident of Scraptoft you can have your say. The questionnaire covers a range of issues from youth facilities, the environment, traffic, policing and much more. What ever your interest – you will be able to have your say! You just need to keep a look out for the questionnaire being delivered through your door over the next few weeks, fill it in and post it in one of the drop off points. Simple as that! All questionnaires are confidential and anonymous so please don’t hold back – this your chance to direct the future of Scraptoft!

The group are also forming ideas about consulting the youth. If you have any ideas or feel you could input please contact Lizzie Clarke on 0116 2689716 or email lclarke@ruralcc.org.uk.

You can log on a complete your questionnaire online. Just follow the weblink and enter your unique access key - located on the top of your questionnaire.
