We at www.removeacar.com offer a free scrap car removal and collection service. All cars and vans and motor bikes are collected free of charge. We not only cover all of leicester for free ,but up to a distance of 100 miles by our company. All other areas are covered by collecting agents which have upto date purpose built car/van recovery vehicles. All are friendly drivers with local knowledge.

We find that as we offer a free recovery service if you intend to scrap your car free of charge, that we get a lot of call outs to motorways,main roads,and country side roads, or just broken down, and ready to be scrapped. This is due to the bigger recovery call out services who want £105.00 call out charge, then £1 etc per mile distance and then you still have to dispose of your car.

We also collect cars that have ran out of MOT at garages,from college car parks, from airport car parks, dumped on private land, dumped on pub/hotel car parks, even if you have had them taken from you by the police,for whatever reason, also cars that you did intend to "do" up and ran out of time.

All situtions are covered. We do all this in a one-off service. We collect your car free of charge, dispose of your car in a proper green manner, end of life rules,which is up to, and above the guidelines set out by the ENVIRONMENT AGENCY,which we are licenced by.

Be assured that your car will not be put back on the road or sold to a scrap yard where they sell the spares on. We have found when this happens the cars ID can be copied, and this is where the trouble of fines start.etc

All the cars collected and recovered for a free scrap car collection service are disposed at a licenced recycling centre and as such, all cars that we dispose of,can have a "DESTRUCTION CERTIFICATE" e-mailed back to the owner.

This has all the information on it that DVLA and the Police need, e.g. our company name,and the car registration number,and crushing reference number and in this way you will never get any worries of come backs of any sort.

Q. What if i have lost the log book (V5)? Can you still collect and dispose the car?
A. Yes. We do ask that you have photo ID and that you sign a disposal form for us which, the collecting driver carries,or can be sent via post or email.

Q. Does the car have to be working or drive?
A. No. We can recover non-runners, badly smashed, blown engines from motorways, even from countryside ditches etc. All our vehiles are made for the job of recovery.

Q. Do I have to be there when you collect??
A. No. We offer collection services that cover this, such as, you hide the key and paperwork where only you and us know where they are, or you can post them to us, or leave them at a local Police Station for us to collect. This also helps them if it's crashed at the kerbside and also in most cases we find,you wont get a parking fine,as they keep in touch with us. As you inform them that we are collecting your car for you.

Q. Will I get any money for my scrap car?
A. No. We recommend that you be carefull of whom you dispose of your scrap car to as we find that if you sell your scrap car for cash, you have no control as to what happens to it. With us, it's put into the scrap car recycling process within 2 hours of collection.

Please do not ring or e mail us for spares for cars as all cars collected are disposed of in a environmentally friendly legal process.

Cancellations
We only ask that you inform us,within 1 hour of your initial booking request if you change your mind about using our services. Failure to do so may result in a £30.00 administration fee. We have encountered problems in the past where our drivers have turned up at the collection address and the vehicle has been taken by another company without contacting us first costing us fuel and administration time.

We do not offer payment for vehicles, drivers will not pay you for vehicles so please don’t ask them as they don’t carry cash this is a free service. We have found that many companies that advertise cash payment will use this as a ploy to obtain your vehicle without paying you or worse still charging you on arrival. We offer a free, friendly and environmentally safe service so you can have peace of mind using our company’s services.

Scraptoft Parish Council has supported a proposal to create allotments on the land behind the David Wilson Estate and bordering Beeby Road.

To submit a proposal to Harborough District Council requires an Allotments Association and a costed plan.
