On Tuesday May 8th the Shepshed and Hathern Area Forum had its Decision Night to vote on how to allocate its budget of £12,500.
17 projects had been submitted, one withdrew before the event, so 16 projects turned up to put forward their case on an exciting and tense occasion. More »
Several project proposers changed their original proposals as the event unfolded, in the light of comments and suggestions that emerged.
Participants ranked all 16 projects, with the top 9 going through for the final vote, which determined which projects were recommended to receive funding. Those results can now be found by clicking on this link. » Less

The Top Lodge centre at Fineshade Woods in Northamptonshire is a partnership between the RSPB and the Forestry Commission. Chris Andrews is the Visitor and Promotions officer at the site and his talk will look at the varied and beautiful wildlife to be found in this ancient woodland. More »

The Loughborough RSPB Group invite you to join them on their coach trip to the Elan Valley in central Wales
Here we will see a good range of woodland and upland birds in a beautiful setting.
We should see Red Kite, Raven, Pied Flycatcher, Wood Warbler and Redstart amongst others. There are a variety of walks and habitats

The coach will leave from outside the Brockington Building, Loughborough University, Epinal Way, Loughborough at 7.30 am.
