Although a Chapel of Ease was built at Six Hills in 1837, the people of Six Hills had all their ceremonies recorded in the register of St. John the Baptist at Old Dalby. This lists the records of christenings[C], marriages[M] and burials[B] which took place at Old Dalby parish church and which can be found at the Record Office for Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland. The dates for which banns are held are shown in brackets after the marriage dates. Bishop's Transcripts [BTs] are contemporary copies which are also shown. It also provides information about burials and cremations outside the parish church.
