The Association
The association was established in late February 2007 to develop sustainable educational leisure and recreational opportunities for the people of South Wigston. Its membership is drawn from a diverse broad spectrum of customers of the Marquis and local residents. But it needs to be re-launched, or re-established anyone interested please get in touch so some of these ideas can become a reality.
Efforts are now underway to refurbish and renew the rooms which years ago were known as The Duke of Clarence so that once again they can become a social centre. This time such a social centre if it becomes established will be aligned to the needs of the 21st rather than those of the 19th century when the rooms were built.
