Special Awards

Both John Dyson and Jane Tindle won special awards for the work that they have done this year above and beyond the call of duty for Leicestershire Villages. They both volunteered to help upload the images the site received as part of the BBC birthday and we would have found it incredibly difficult to have done it without them.

Stephen Butt from BBC Radio Leicester was kind enough to present the awards to both Jane and John. They both received a digital camera so now they have to go out and take plenty of images for Leicestershire Villages!

There were also awards for Alan White (Braunstone) and Roy Shipman (Fleckney) who volunteered to be mentors at the BBC training event at the Open Centre in Leicester late last year. They were joined on the day by John Dyson as well and we are very grateful for their help in assisting the new users we had on the day.
