On Sunday 26th May at Manor Pavillion Grange Lane Thurnby there is a proposed day where the police (and hopefully the fire service) will be in attendance. The session (from10am until2pm) will service two roles. Firstly to meet, greet and answer any questions from the public and secondly as Leicestershire Constabulary are supporting the Anthony Nolan trust this year as a charity this session will also be a drop in centre to obtain possible donors from the 18 – 30 year old category. We will need volunteers to help us capture the information and samples so if you know anybody who would be interested please contact stephen.winn@leicestershire.pnn.police.uk,

Calling all runners – and aspiring runners – in Scraptoft/Thurnby/Bushby and surrounding areas
We meet every Monday evening at the White House, Scraptoft, at 6.30 pm – rain or shine!
Our weekly runs are usually around 3 miles. The quicker runners do a bit more, the slower ones a bit less. We split up according to ability but always start off together and aim to finish together. And if you're a complete beginner we certainly wouldn't expect you to do 3 miles as soon as you start. We have a variety of routes – mainly on footpaths along the local streets, but with the possibility of some field runs – when the weather is good.
There's no fee to join. You don't have to sign up for a set number of weeks.
