Halstead Methodist Chapel

We offer services to cater for different needs. We have Early Bird services fortnightly on the second and last Sunday of the month for families with young children from 9-9.30am and then a quieter service for the older members of the church from 10.30-11.30am. On the first Sunday of the month we have an all age service for everyone and on the third Sunday we go to St Peter’s Parish Church to join our friends there.

First Sunday
10.30 a.m. All age service – children present throughout – a service that lasts just under an hour and includes everyone.

Second Sunday
9.00 a.m. Early Bird service – we cater for young families on an informal basis. We reckon that young children are usually up bright and early and that a service at this time still gives the family plenty of chance to go out and about for the rest of the day. This service lasts for half an hour. There is a theme and plenty of activities, songs and prayers for both parents and children to enjoy together in an informal atmosphere. We hope this will be a good way to introduce your children to church activities. We look on this as a service for children to which adults are invited and welcome. This service is usually led by our minister.
10.30 a.m. United Service with St Peter’s at the chapel – a more traditional service with a sermon.

Third Sunday
11.00 a.m. United All-Age Service at St. Peter’s - children present throughout.

(When applicable: Fourth Sunday
10.30 a.m. A traditional service with children present – an all age talk in the early part of the service and activities provided for the children at the back of the chapel during the sermon.)

9.00 a.m. Early Bird
10.30 a.m. Traditional service
