ULLESTHORPE WINDMILL

Ullesthorpe Windmill

The mill is situated in Mill Street near the cross roads at the centre of the village. It is a five story tower mill and was built by subscription about 1800. Originally it had two pairs of millstones, a third pair were added by 1838. The mill is open to the public several weekends each year, the dates are published on the website and in the local press. Private party visits can be arranged at other times by contacting Dr Susan Tebby Tel:- 01455 209608. For those unable to climb the 65 steps into the cap a CCTV system is installed so that the machinery can be viewed at ground level on a screen in the bake house.
