What is Leicestershire Villages all about?

There's a Leicestershire Villages website for every village and town in the county, delivering online services, creating a rich community resource, and helping to eliminate rural isolation.

Finding a village is easy. Go to the County map, and click on a district or use the drop-down menu below the map.

Browse your village website, it's a gateway to a wealth of localised resources: News; Events; Services; Planning Applications; Community Transport; and Find My Nearest (a powerful search tool).

Each site is built around three areas - Information (blue heading), Local Postings (green heading) and Local Pages (red heading).

Information

These items, at the top left of the screen, are managed by the www.leicestershirevillages.com team. They're a one-stop shop to a range of online services from a wide variety of providers. This section continues to develop – so expect to see changes as features are added.

Local Postings

This section, also on the left of the screen, contains a wide variety of content submitted by local, registered users. There are discussion forums where you can share your views. Why not Register to add items to your village site?

Local Pages

In this section, on the right of the screen, you'll find pages of local content, created by registered users in the community about their organisations and interests. The site must have a volunteer administrator before such pages can be added.
