When Lola was a puppy she loved to sleep. She would sleep in the morning, slumber in the afternoon and doze all through the evening.
She slept beside the fire in the stables close to her mum. Lola's mum smiled as day after day, lola slept. When she started to wake and move, she could rollover and fall back to sleep. "Rollover Lola" mum said, smiling "That's what I'll call you." "Humph!" Lola's Dad said. He did not smile, he watched his sleeping puppy wearing a huge frown. One day, Lola's dad was watching her all snug and cosy in the warm stable. Then he looked at Lola's mum, watching her puppy smiling. He wasn't smiling, he felt a little cross. "Don't you thing Lola is a little bit.......lazy, the way she sleeps all the time? "Lazy?" Lola's mum said, very surprised. "She's only a puppy. That's what puppies do."
