Thomas Rawlins set up a charity in 1691 to endow the school that he had built and he added to it in 1710. As well as endowing the school, this charity provided a total of £91.15s to be divided amongst the poor of Woodhouse, £29.17s for the poor of Quorn, £2.10s for poor dissenters at Mountsorrel, £1 for the poor at Barrow upon Soar.
