Photo taken August 2007. The Brimstone is a regular visitor to Wymeswold's gardens. It's bright yellow colour makes it easy to recognise.

Photo taken August 2007. The Peacock's large "eyes" resemble the patterns on a Peacocks tail. They might be a distraction to predators and help the butterfly survive. It is often seen feeding on the nectar in Buddlea flowers.
