Welcome to
Wymeswold Open Gardens
Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th June 2012
You're once again invited to the beautiful village of Wymeswold to enjoy a weekend exploring a wide variety of gardens in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside.
Around twenty gardens are expected to open to the public - some of them for the first time. There are always a great variety of gardens to visit - everything from cottage gardens to country house landscapes, spaces with modern design features and simple family gardens that have been tended with great care for your enjoyment.
There's lots to see and enjoy as you make your way around the village - scarecrows, live music, art and craft displays and Morris dancing. Traditional teas are a big part of the day with home baked cakes on the menu. Plant stalls are also dotted around the route if you've felt inspired and fancy growing something new when you get home.
Money raised goes towards maintaining our village churches, village environmental projects as well as local and international charities. We raised £4500 last year which all went to these good causes.
Tickets cost £3.50, valid both days and children get to tour the gardens for free.
Thanks for your interest and if you have any ideas or queries please email me at jo.hayward@hotmail.co.uk .
